I was seeing lot of posts in this forum about reverse brain drain, so I wanted to comeup with a question which would answer my question without doubt.
I wanted to see if all those who are in the GC queue and think that they are a very important for America and insist on that in their signature by saying "Help us stop reverse brain drain" are really meaning what they say.
I beleive if we are so much in demand we can get a job in another country and have similar quality of life or better. So only poeple who are confident of the reverse brain drain and America should stop it will not hesitate to vote "Yes" if they are so frustated with the GC wait times.
Once again thanks to everyone who so far particiapted in this poll and posted comments.

The ONLY reason for CIR derailment was public opposition generated MAINLY by Lou LIAR DoGGs & Associates. Thus, there is no reason to believe that countering their effort should have lower priority then ANY other activity.

My wait time is as long as yours, so I am not thinking about getting ready for citizenship just yet (lot can happen in 5 years). If the USCIS processing times are to be believed, they are supposed to take between 12 and 15 months to decide on a currently filed application (the server seems to be down now, so couldn't verify the latest status). There may be additional time differences depending on where you are located. And knowing how USCIS operates, backlogs are not unheard of (http://www.immigrationpolicy.org/images/File/factcheck/CitizenshipDayFactSheet09-16-08.pdf).
Here is a comforting thought - and someone correct me if I am wrong - but unlike the hectic GC process with all the "inequalities" among various EB categories, naturalization process is a level-playing field where your specific skills do not matter. Everyone is considered equal here, whether you have got your GC via EB, FB or even amnesty route. This makes sense too, considering that your value (to this country) as a citizen rests primarily in your voting right, and someone who can cook is just as good to vote as another who writes smart computer codes (no knock on the cook, my wife is a fantastic cook herself). This is why the "priority date" for your citizenship application is set at 5 years (of continuous residency) from the date printed on your PR card, irrespective of your GC category (the wait is 3 years for those with USC spouse). I have taken my Ex - employer to DOL and USCIS and I was successful getting my money back.
If you go with lawsuit then it becomes partially a Civil case rather than criminal offense.
If any one needs info how to proceed send me a PM

There are both advantages and disadvantages, but if you haven't consumed full 6 years of H1B, going on EAD has certain advantages.
Even my company recommends to use EAD to stop utilizing H1B time.As per http://immigration-information.com/forums/showpost.php?p=18946&postcount=28 it's definitely better to switch to EAD.I used 4.5 years of H1B and switched to EAD.

For diversity they have GC lottery. Having per country limits in EB categories doesnot make sense

Although my lawyer confirmed that one can still have a valid H1B status after travelling using AP. My co-worder is still in doubt. Our corporate attorney seems to be clueless for this tricky situation.
Even USCIS is clueless. My feeling is that generally (about 70-90% time) they will grant the extension/transfer as it brings lot of revenue (fee) for them. But, if some officer may feels that, to seek the transfer cum extension one should be in same status. It is hard to convince them in case of RFE, as there is no specific memo/policy/regulation for this situation. It also fuels the natural doubt of the officer?. Why the AOS applicant entered on AP seek non-employment chage of status (instead of using EAD)? Using EAD and AP is simple and avoids complications in employment transfer. This is my view.

Contact your insurance ( They will provide the lawyer for your defense) You will not need to pay for the services. If any damage is awarded more than your policy maximum that becomes your liability- But the onus of collecting is on the plaintiff - They cannot file criminal charges because you do not have money to pay- So your GC would not have issues though they can freeze your pay from the employer. All of this is provided that they dont settle out of court which they do lots of time.
The only request keep this thread updated through your progress so that others can refer to this if they happen to fall in the same position.

I think there is something wrong in lobbying of pro immigrants. Anti immigrants Convinced many Congressmen with facts and numbers that H1b wages are less than US workers. Pro immigrants should have collected accurate information about wages to counter their claims.

Friends, please suggest. I bought ICICI lombard 3 times previously, never had to use it, so no comments there. Now, I'm thinking of buying something better as I had heard horrible things about ICICI lombard.
Anybody who has had a parent with diabetes and taken insurance? If there were any problems, did the insurance pay the costs? If possible can you also mention what problems came up during the stay.
